Worms for Android?

[MSPreacher]

Worms is out for the iPhone, but not for Android. I'm sure everyone can agree it would sell like hot cakes if it was well done. We need games of that calibre, and anyone who can deliver will get loads of sales. Simple supply and demand!

The "Hedgewars" clone doesn't quite cut it for me unfortunately. Anyone else want to see Worms or has any info about projects?

Edit:

I got in touch with a Team17 developer, and this is the reply I got:

I believe an Android version has been talked about, No idea when it will be released tho.

Nothing concrete, but better than nothing! Good that they are considering it.

In the meanwhile, I'll check out the psx4droid!

Have you tried armored strike? Pretty good game, same premise as Worms.

A remake of Worms 3d would be awesome. This topic reminds me of a game I played back on Palm OS though, called Snails by PDA Mill. All of the Palm OS titles are free now, but they now make titles for the iPhone. All of their games are very high quality, would be interesting to see if they have any plans on joining the Android market.
