Worth buying decent earphones?

Is it worth buying a decent set of earphones for my One X?
Im thinking of getting a set of Sennheiser CX 300 - II precision
Ive read its got a crap soundchip even though it has beats (how ironic lol)
The set that comes with One X sounds not too bad, but will i hear a great improvement with a new set?

I actually thought the headphones that came with it sounded pretty good. I only bought a new set because the supplied ones were so uncomfortable.

My Phillips sound pretty good, I wouldn't say there was a massive improvement over the stock, but you can tell the difference. They were only

Dont really have a limit as such (within reason), but i will only spend more if i know it will get a good improvement.
A little worried about spending good money on a set only to find out it doesnt sound any better.
As i already said i have read that the HOX has a crap sound chip.
Last resort is buying an MP3 player i suppose, would prefer all in one
I will NEVER EVER buy an iPhone though lol

you can improve sound quality by recording lossless files, downloading power amp and using better quality headphones - or at least that's what helped me. i have a hard time using any kind of earphone or headphone for very long - but i will say that using my old shure e5s, audio technica ath-ew9s and phiaton ps20s bt, the most noticeable jump in quality came with lossless files and the power amp app. i'm using a stock int'l hox, btw.

I got a free gift of beats headphones when signing up to my contract, the sound quality is incredible so much better than the poor stock headphones. I think that's why people say the sound quality is. crap, if you are using the stock headphones turn off beats as you don't get the benefit, with beats headphones I'd put it up against any mp3 player.
