Would firmware update brick my phone?

Need some help in choosing a firmware that wouldn't brick my phone....

Below is my phone's version information

Android 2.3.3
Baseband Version: I9100MUGKG2
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKDD-CL161513 (Rooted)
PDA: I9100MUGKG2
PHONE: I9100MUGKG2
CSC: I9100MBMCKG2
Build Info: Tue Jul 12 10:19:43 KST 2011
Country: Canada (North America)

I'd like to upgrade to Android 2.3.5, mainly to fix the GPS issue.

Looking at the firmware thread
[ROM+Guide]Official i9100 Firmwares KG, KH1/2/3/4, KI1/2/3/4/8, KJ1/2 Download - xda-developers

There are a number of 2.3.5 firmware to choose from, but I am not sure which one would work for my phone... none of those 2.3.5 firmware has a "UG" code (for North America).

Which one can I pick, without bricking my phone? Thanks for the help!! :)

I just got an official Samsung 2.3.5 update an hour ago - KI4. But I'm in Europe, and I don't even know if they operate on a region or national basis with firmware updates?
