Would this be harmful to my GS2?

A really long Skype call, like, let's say, of more than 2 hours while I am charging it? My friend says it's not good to Skype too long because it might overheat.

well, does it overheat? does ur phone feel hot after an hour, or after two hours? if not, i doubt its gonna be harmful to ur phone, i wouldnt worry about it..

The gs2 comes with a handy safety feature where it will tell you if the battery is overheating and then won't let you charge it anymore until its cooled down. So unless you see this its fine.

I was using Skype over 3h in one call and didn`t experience any problems. After this talk battery had 38C and i dont think that this temp could be called overheating. In your case it could be that u have 2.3.3 which is worse in relation with battery than2.3.4 which is very good and it shouldn`t cause any troubles!

yeah, after similar use (charging while using usb tethering) for a long period of time, my battery is often around 38C too.. not a problem
