Would You Risk Your Life For Your Phone?

Only if I dropped it into the Grand Canyon and I had a running start. I heard you can bounce.

I guess another question would be... Would you relinquish your phone to a mugger where no one is around you not knowing what he would do or what he even has?

Normally, I would say yes. But this happened to me one time.

I was walking home from work, it was a very long, exhausting, and just an overall bad day. A young thug (maybe 16 yo) rode up to me on his bike, says to me "Yo, lemme get your phone." I took a few steps towards him and yelled "LEAVE ME ALONE!" Kid got scared, probably thought I was some crazy psycho guy, and took off on his bike.

No...I got insurance O.o what do they do if you told them that you dropped your phone on the rail track and unable to retrieve it. Would they void the insurance?

Have you dealt with insurance? :D
Don't let it be stolen, break down or spontaneously combust if you want your payout :D
No just got it on my Atrix after I lost my last 2 phones. Well they said that they cover everything except natural disaster or pusposedly damage/lost the phone.

Nope, I'd give up my phone instantly, esp if I saw a weapon. I can easily remote wipe it and replace it. I do make every possible attempt to avoid bad situations where someone could rob me that easily though.

I always laugh at the lack of natural disaster cover
Insurance is such a scam often :(

I just heard of a story of a guy who risked his life in a mugging because apparently his phone has the only picture of his bastard son he visited in the province.

Kinda sweet IMO, but better to back up your pics asap. Though it is in the province, you can't really find any tech there.
