I don't think beat but glad to see that our G2 beings an 'old' phone at this point was pretty much on par with this years new phones... screen, processor, memory, battery and we're all on kitkat now too.
i think in benchmarks for those that care we'll be pretty close... it wont be as big a difference for example between my Nexus 4 and when I went to my G2 with the new 800.
Last year the G2 spec blew away the S4 specs but the consumer really didnt give the G2 much notice and care anyways in terms of sales. But at least I guess you can say the G2 has been futureproofed for another year and it'll be time for me to upgrade maybe in 2015 where I'll be looking for at least a 20mb camera and 3gb ram and 3500+mA battery for average 3 days between charge and 8+ hours avg on screen time, etc
Will be interesting to see the G3 specs.
