Wow, no news on Tmo's Froyo MyTouch 3G 3.5 Jack update?!?!

I got T-Mobile's text message about it yesterday!
Let's hope it doesn't go waaay late like with the original MyTouch 3G.
Time to put Donut in the rear view.
 
Got the text too. Talked with a guy at a T-Mobile store in my neck of the woods
and he recommended I do a factory data reset after the update and download all the apps I had off the new market.

Looking forward to it, just don't wanna have my slow (well, next to my Mom's new 4G) phone be even slower trying to push Froyo. I've read good and bad re: the 1st 3G update so I'll take the gamble.
 
You think it could be dicey to have on the phone? I know the 3.5 Jack was tweaked a very little from the original MyTouch. I hope it doesn't suck at running Froyo. I have a whole other year left with this phone!
 
Me too jw! I love how people just say "upgrade yer phone dude!" and it's like I went to T-Mobile with dough in my pocket and they won't even talk about discounts that mean anything until 20 months! I don't see paying $550 after tax for a myTouch4G that may be obsolete when my next "freebie" (read: still a $100 to $200 phone upgrade) is available at the end of this contract in 12-14 months!

I know the 528mhz PVT32A processor is no where near Snapdragon's and the like so I'm hoping it can handle Froyo; like I said I've heard good and bad from the first gen 3G Froyo adopters.

We'll see...
