im looking to purchase an android phone, possible nexus s, but had a few questions.
i have been using iphone for the since 3g and am now on iphone 4 but absolutely hate it. now everything seems so great on androids..but i cant seem to find an answer to this.
on the iphones, i can actually draw chinese characters with my fingers, where it then gives me a few options of which character i wanted to write. does androids offer this option? i understand i can type in pinyin form and then select the character..but i need to be able to draw the character itself.
so while doing this research ive seen people saying that even if you get it to type pinyin...you cant do it in sms? is it true?
 
Many Androids do have Chinese input, including handwriting recognition built in. You have to check the phone first and dive into the settings. Usually Android phones sold in Asian regions have optional Chinese character input. The HTC Desire Z sold by Bell Canada also has optional Chinese input and this will work with the AT&T 3G.
 
There are quite a few Chinese input Method apps on the market that supports handwriting. But most of them are simplified Chinese only.
