Wrong account for upgrading apps

Motorola Razr Max running Jellybean. I have my phone connected to two different Google accounts, mine and my wife's. The only thing I do with my wife's account is sync to her calendar. I have my own account set up as the default account for Google Play, and that works fine: if I download a non-free app, it duly uses my account and the credit card associated with it. But if, from inside an app, I say "upgrade to Pro" or "remove ads" or one of those things that requires a payment, I get a "Payment Options" window that displays my wife's account. Anybody have any thoughts on how I can get it to use my account? As I understand it, these are Google Wallet accounts, even though the Google Wallet app won't run on my device. So for some reason, the default Google Wallet account seems to be my wife's and not mine.
