Hi
So after I rooted my Nexus 7. My battery life indicator went haywire. The bar tells me that I have 3,700% battery life and will often dip below that number or go over the number. Please post some possible answers. Thank you!
What specific version of Chainfire's UPDATE-SuperSU-v#.##.zip did you use?
(and/or how did you root?)
I've read about this happening in the [BETA] SuperSU thread over at XDA...not sure if it's related to systemless root or not...the solution/resolution for this hasn't caught my eye yet (it's a very long and busy thread).
Do you have a 2012 (1st-gen) or 2013 (2nd-gen) N7?
(I'm guessing that you have a 2nd-gen 2013 and are running 6.x; a 2012/1st-gen would best use v2.49 since Android 6.x is not available for these older devices)
I don't know for sure that it would fix the issue, but if you read through first thread I linked above and look for battery indicator-related posts, it might tell you if a current version or more carefully following the flashing instructions will fix your issues. Like I said, there've been a zillion posts in that thread but I do know I've see references to the same thing you're saying you're seeing.
edit: these Google search terms might help you narrow that down:
Sounds like it's a mis-matched kernel / boot.img issue?
If you can re-flash the current factory image (i.e., get a total, clean install) and then flash the latest BETA (v2.64) that might fix you up.
All due cautions, etc. about first making a Nandroid backup, saving your files from your SD card, first, etc. apply [I'm guessing you might already know this ].
Also, remember, even 2.52 is a BETA version of systemless root, so you might still see some crazy things going on. I'd encourage you to follow the XDA thread (I know it's long, but a lot (if not all) of your questions will be addressed in there).
