Help Wrong Pin message when attempting to add new google account

I recently purchased the LG G4. I've set up my primary gmail account and it works just fine, but now I'm trying to add another gmail account. I go to Settings > General > Account & Sync > Add Account > Google and I'm prompted to "Enter Current PIN". I enter my PIN and I get "Wrong Pin" message. After some research I found the link for Google Account PIN and I changed to a new PIN and it still fails. Do I have to change the PIN locally on the phone? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Entering a PIN for a new Google account isn't something I've ever needed to do when I've added accounts.

Do you have 2 Step verification on the account? Could it be that?

I found it odd as well, which is why I'm kind of stumped on how to correct it. I don't have 2 step verification on this account.

I figured out my problem. When adding an account it wasn't looking for the Google PIN it was wanting your lock screen PIN. Once I put that PIN in adding accounts worked. Very confusing, but figured it out.
