wrong recovery image

Hi I'm Aaron I want to start off by saying thank you for your support and education you provide on droids :).

I have an LG Optimus Dynamic model LGL38C. I rooted it and I installed ROM Manager where from it I accidently installed the wrong CWMR. Now I can't even system recovery to undue it cuz that needs recovery to work lol. I have scowered google looking for a even the factory recovery img or a cwmr image that will work and I can't find a working img for it to flash back over my mistake. At least I didn't brick my phone with my mistake but it's anoying cuz I found a new ROM for my phone that I would like to try and I need recovery for that too. I need like shot myself in the foot meme for this one lol

but I don't have the right recovery image to flash back over it. Don't you need a image that is specifically made for your phone or is atleast compatible with it maybe I'm being a noob and misunderstanding something?

Oh...that file is how I initially rooted my phone it worked great I didn't know that file contained cwmr I will open up the zip and see if I can find the recovery image in it. If I had the right file under my nose all along I'm going to feel like a dumbass lol

I reran that Batch file and it just goes through and closes beacause the phone is already rooted I think should I unroot the phone and try again?

I have no access to fastboot it just reboots, I can't factory reset because I need recovery for that, I can't reinstall the rooting batch file to reflash the cwm....FUBAR!

My brother has the same phone as me is it possible to copy the factory recovery image from his so I can at least factory reset and start over?

No. From what I know of factory images, they don't leave those kinds of files lying around.

A factory reset does nothing for you, anyway. Recovery isn't affected.

Don't run the .bat file. Look for the "recovery.img" file, which is CWM. Flash that in fastboot.

If you open up the file you have there with an archive program like 7zip, etc, you'll need to navigate through the files and folders until you find the "recovery.img"

It should be named something along those lines. I'm not 100% sure since I don't have your phone. My apologies.

Once you have that, use the mini-sdk to fastboot flash the recovery image to your phone. I'm almost to my computer, so bear with me, and I'll try to link you to the mini-sdk. :)

Is this what you were aiming toward Extreme, or did I miss the mark?

EDIT:

Here's a link to the Mini-SDK with all the instructions on how to install, etc:
http://androidforums.com/faqs/443072-adb-guide.html

Place the recovery.img in the SDK folder then open the terminal window and type:

fastboot flash recovery "recovery.img"

(you will not include the parenthesis, I only placed those there to emphasize this will be named whatever the recovery.img file you extract. ;) )
