WTF New year New changes

So here is the new year. Congrats we made it. Almost didn't though. Day after Christmas I had a heart attack. Who thought at 36 this would happen? lol all I can say is wow. So after the whole thing its time for the change. New diet and work out plan. Anyone have any good work out plans that they could share or even a small diet plan ? Anything would be helpful. After all my diet consist of an average between 30 to 40 double cheese burgers a week. I know this is a crazy number but when I have an hour to drive to work one way this would make my lunch and then dinner on the way home. Working 10am to 9pm this is all I do. So it was very convient for me to pick up 3 or 4 on the way to work and 3 or 4 on the way home. Guess I have learned the hard way. So any POSITIVE advice would be helpfull. I hope everyone has a great new year.

Stop doing this, get daily cardio, and find something healthier to eat. Stop eating greasy foods, that is what clogs your arteries up. That's pretty much all there is to it but it won't be easy, either.

Good luck and have a happy new year! :)

I know the felling. I work on the road alot... so my diet isnt the greatest. Happy new year... and happy new life. Im a bit tipsy and the party is going so ill comment later.

Cut down on high cholestoral foods. I know how you feel! Instead of beef cheeseburgers, make maybe a veggie burger (boca or something) I have been doign this and I can feel the difference in my belt. Plus, its cheaper. You still need protein, though, but you can get it elsewhere. And definitely oversize - start walking/fast walk. Build it up to some solid cardio.. eat more vegetables! I know.. broken record, but I am in the same boat, bro.

So young for that kind of problem. We should all get together and take your pic and place it at every fast food place in the world saying "Do Not Take this person order ever". LOL Glad to see you made it sweetie get better and watch what u eat cuz if nobody else I Want you to stick around for another 50 years.;):):):):);)

Thanks for all the support. Everybody has been great. I started my diet and work out today. Holy crap am I out of shape. Possibly because I am a shape. (LOL). Walked 3 miles on a treadmill, all I can say is WOW. This is gonna be a challenge.

Whatever you do, do NOT give up! I love your sense of humor, as well. Try working out with friends, and listening to music so you don't get bored. It wil be beneficial in the long run,

Make sure you also eat right; don't starve yourself or skip breakfast! Try to make your breakfast high in fiber. Most Cereals that Quaker makes are EXCELLENT sources of fiber. Oh, and lots of carbs in the morning, as well! Bread and whole grains that will give you the energy you need to make it through your workout! Do NOT eat too many carbs towards night time, eat more protein than anything.

Do not skip meals, eat lean meats, eat plenty of fish, and drink LOTS OF WATER. Cut out soda and any packaged food. Do NOT eat fast food, whatsoever. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Don't eat any junk food. Drink lots of water, you need to stay hydrated. If you feel hungry, drink a bottle of water, if you're still hungry after wards, eat something. Eat smaller portions throughout the day to keep your metabolism up. If you ever DO decide to eat out (which should literally be once or twice a month) get a salad, grilled chicken, anything healthy.

Exercise, too. You can run. If you aren't in good shape start with running small amounts, and build up as the weeks go by. If you hate running you can swim. Its great cardio. You can also think about weight training. Lifting weights builds muscle, and muscle burns more calories than fat. You should add crunches, lunges, push ups, etc. to your workout. If you ever get bored with this routine you can try yoga or cycling, something fun like that!

Again, do not give up. Soon, you'll be running one mile and walking two and then running two miles and walking one, you get the point. Good luck!

new update to my android friends. Things have been ruff but getting alot better. I haven't had a double cheese burger since the day before Christmas.
Now when I even smell Burger King double cheese it makes me sick.
Now Taco bell is a different thing. I have found a new interest in the fresco tacos. those things are freaking sweet.
I have lost 32lbs. and have cut down from a 10 to 15000 calorie diet to about 2800 to 3000.
Finally got to go back to work. Was hating that I couldn't work. Wife and kids drove me crazy.
well I will go for now. Later all!

Congrats and good luck with it.

When I was 28 my lung collapsed out of nowhere (spontaneous pneumothorax). Spent 13 days in the hospital and had to have lung surgery to fix it. They say that it is common in tall skinny guys. Turned out that I had clusters of air pockets on my lungs (blebs) that popped one day. Since then I quit smoking and joined a gym last year.

Stick with it. It's definitely worth it.
