Help wtf

[Android Question]

phone was more or less OK
1 night less than 80% charge
next day only red light sometimes blinking
new charger same result
took to Cricket LCD (I think) may be compromised but charge port OK
repair shop says port bad $60-80 to fix (Cricket cannot)
who's right ZTE Sonata 3

Well, the part only costs $5. The micro soldering is the hard part.
From what I'm seeing, you can get a brand new Sonata 3 for that repair price......maybe two.
