Help X,Y Axis switched BLARG

So i Just bought a new galaxy s, updated to i9000 from i896. Eveything works except the X, Y Axis are reversed.

So the phone thinks its in landscape mode when it is in fact straight up. I have tried

-calibration
-reset
-auto rotate, lock and unlock

I have no idea how to correct this and hours of searching the interwebz has not helped either.

Any ideas? Please help.

Take it back to the seller? Sounds like a hardware fault.

maybey a software upgrade/flash might get rid of the problems
