X2 died today

Honestly, out of all my cell phones, I have never seen this happen, my phone is completly dead, only had it just over 2 weeks, should have known something was wrong when I would hit the power button, and the screen would take anywhere from 1-4 seconds to show up, but now its gone, phone will not turn on, tried plugging it into the wall charger, I get a green LED to light up, but thats it, called up VZW, they have never heard of it happeneing before (shocker) I swear tech support is useless, I knew something was up with the phone, just seemed too laggy to be dual core, even txting, the keyboard would take a second or two to register that I was typing, but anyways, just need to take a trip to the VZW store here and ill get it replaced under the "worry free guarantee" would have it sent in the mail, but if I can go to the store and get it that day, might as well

mine died today too. I did a battery pull. Left it out for about 10 minutes, and put it back in and its back again.

I've had mine die a couple of times. I had to remove the battery for a few minutes each time to get out back up. No clue what causes this.

I have found that if the battery gets below 10% mine starts to act up. Made the mistake of letting the battery run all the way down....plugged in the wall charger but it still would not turn on. Let it charge for 20 min, still would not turn on, battery still showed 0%. Unplugged the DX2 from the charger and it did turn on and the battery showed 30%....did the same thing the second time I let the battery run down. I know slow learner! Gonna have to get a second battery.

I also cleared the system cache and it did help the laggy issues.

how did you clean the system cache, i downloaded a app off the market, after it was done, it claimed to have cleaned out 30MB worth of cache

From the Motorola forums, how to clear the cache on X2:
    1. Power the phone down.
    2. Press and hold the down volume button and power button until you see the Motorola emblem and the word "Fastboot" at the top of the screen.
    3. Press the volume down button until you get to Android Recovery.
    4. Push the volume up key and you should see a triangle with an exclamation point.
    5. Push the volume up and down button at the same time. You should now be at the Android system recovery screen.
    6. Use the volume down key to scroll down to wipe cache partition. Push the power button to select.
    7. Push the power button once more when it is done with the wipe cache partition. That should be reboot system now.

Wiping the cache won't wipe any user data. You won't lose any apps or anything else. This is just a cache for the OS.

Same thing here. It has happened to me twice thus far.

did get some good news, after reading over everyones posts, turns out it was just a dead battery, and i mean really dead, took at least 45 minutes for the phone to even show it was charging, for the longest time it showed nothing but the green LED lit up, and that was it, so guess its lesson learned the hard way, I also cleared out the cache in recovery, seemed to help alot with lag, now if only I could find a fix for the keyboard lag I get once in awhile....
