x64 or Not

Upon checking out several sites that have specs on this phone I came across something that made me cringe.
Our phones are not 64 bit.

I checked out gsmarena to comfirm and this is what it said.

Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat)
Chipset:
Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 - EU model
Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 - USA model
CPU:
Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 - EU model
Quad-core 1.2 GHz - USA model
GPU:
Adreno 306 - EU model
Adreno 305 - USA model

410 is the 64 bit model. The USA phones are basically last years model.

I downloaded CPU-Z and it said it had a ARM Cortex-A7 processor running at 1.19 GHz
it said it had an Adreno 305 GPU and the board was an MSM8226

I don't want to believe it, and i feel duped.

Android 4.xx is a 32 bit operating system. It will not recognize the CPU as a 64 bit along with its performance boost. To get full advantage of the performance we'd have to upgrade to Lollipop in order to even begin to feel the difference between a 64 bit CPU and a 32 bit CPU.

I have the USA model desire 510 for cricket.. I have the 64 bit CPU. This is for sure....and there are no last year models of the 510. It was released Sept '14 in USA.....

To clarify. There are two versions. The sprint/boost/virgin phone are 32 and share the same internals as desire 610. Its on the HTC website.

Oh ok. I switched from virgin mobile just two weeks ago!! I did it mostly because of how they changed their data rates... Cricket has a 10 Gb plan for $55.... 3gb/$45...1gb / $35. All unlimited text....Where as virgin has 500mb / 400 mins / $35... 1gb / 1200 mins / $45.......3gb / unlmtd Voice/text / $55

Huge difference...I know I'm off topic now lol...but my cricket version (AT&T) has the 410 cpu which is 64 bit... Not that it matters much with a 32bit android verson.

Even if kk wouldn't recognize the chip set as 64 bit, wouldn't the build prop and other places show that it was a 410 chip set and 306 gpu? That's why I have the tendency to believe the article that all us versions are 400 and 305's. That's just me though, I'm a"half empty glass " type of guy. Lol

i get the cpu model 400 MSM8926 and it identifies gpu as andreno 306 on my cricket desire 510.

speed varies between 1.18 and 1.20ghz.

the app was cpu-z
