I currently use a 360. This gen, I was leaning towards the PS4.
A few of the boys got together last week to christen his shiny new PS4 with a few games of Fifa and Killzone. There's no doubting it's nice, and the graphics are stunning, but the controller leaves a lot to be desired and is a potential deal breaker for me.
I read on IGN earlier in the week that they're pushing out a fix for the problems with the party system and some of the other big things folk are complaining about.
@Voided i've had several of the same errors you listed. Especially the out of memory error...wtf is up with that?
Prior to TitanFall release in March is when the update is supposed to come out to fix some of the things. ESPECIALLY THE STUPID A** WAY YOU HAVE TO DO PARTY CHAT.
Xbox One's first big update will address 'the Live experience,' expect streaming before E3
Only really an issue if you're using an old CRT set isn't it? Analogue PAL broadcasts have very much ceased in Europe, NTSC was turned off in the US as well. Very much any TV made in the last few years has a digital HDMI input, often multiple HDMI inputs.
Even if you're using the analogue 60Hz only output it shouldn't be a problem, many TVs in Europe are multi-standard PAL/NTSC 50/60Hz, unless you've got something really vintage, like 20 years old or more. Sure if anyone has coughed up all that money for an XBox One, they're not very likely to be using it with an old wooden cabinet Radio Rentals or Rediffusion thing.
If one is using the analogue composite interlaced 525 line 60Hz output, it's hardly going to show the One at its best. It really needs digital HD.
The 50hz problem is massive here, the problem is not with the xbox or the tv, it's the way our programming is broadcast.. I can't see the likes of Sky or Virgin changing anything so Microsoft will have to come up with a fix. Apparently sport is virtually unwatchable on it as the stutter is most noticed on fast moving programming.
Was leaning towards both with the PS4 being first purchase.
Now I'm leaning towards just the PS4. And I rarely do this. I might invest more money and time in my Wii U than get an Xbox One.
Exclusives man, exclusives says I have to get an Xbox One...lol. If I do get both any multi platform games will be on the PS4. Looks like the Xbox One and Wii U will be exclusive only machines for me. My PS3 started as exclusives only...that switched when most friends, co workers had PS3's in recent years. Since they are all in on PS4 only...that also dictates where my money is spent.
