I had the same issue. I use Chrome and the Xfinity web site

Comcast TV Shows Listings | Movies | Airings | Channels | Primetime | XFINITY TV

This actually works better than the app. If you log in to the Xfinity web site, have Chrome save your login information then create a bookmark for your home screen, you'll be all set. From the web view you can even change the channel.

It keeps saying I need to install Microsoft silverlight which I can't. Thoughts?

What browser do you have on your phone. I don't get this error with Chrome?

I installed Chrome. Got the error using chrome

I am stumped. I have the link on my PC, on my RAZR MAXX and my Nexus 7. I also use the Dolfin browser sometimes but mostly Chrome. I don't have the Silverlight issue. Try using Chrome and Google to search for the Xfinity web site through your phone. Maybe this will redirect you to a mobile Xfinity site and bypass the Silverlight issue.
