Ron from Ars Technica just published his review of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 and had a lot of great things to say about it.
Ron says for the price, you get better specs than you do with other phones that cost twice as much. He says the battery life is amazing, he loves the screen(even though it's 720p), the camera is good for the price and you get things like an IR blaster and microSD card slot.
However, he doesn't like that it's still running Android 5.1 Lollipop and even then, Xiaomi has removed a lot of features that Google introduced in Android 5.1.
