Help Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Hi,
I have been looking at this phone, "Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 4G LTE 3GB 32GB Helio X10 Octa Core Smartphone 5.5 Inch 13MP Camera Grey", it seems a good spec to replace my Lenovo A936 which is now useless after bing hi-jacked by malware installed by the vendor.
My question is, does the fact that it does NOT have an option to insert a card in to add to the memory pose a big problem for average use - I usually install Navmii and their maps must take up a lot of space.
Otherwise, any suggestions for a good repacement for the Lenovo A936?
Thanks for any thoughts.
john.

The Xiaomi Hongmi Note 3, it's 32GB and no SD as you know. How much data are you planning on storing, like actually how much map data, plus other things like apps, music, movies, photos, etc. e.g. i.e. how long is a piece of string? How much were you storing on the Lenovo?

My China phone of choice at the moment is Oppo R7 Plus, been using it three months now, and extremely happy with it. That's 32GB, plus SD up to 128GB if needed. Battery life is great. Could be worth looking at. It is large though, 6inch screen.

Hi mikedt,
Thanks for your welcome comments - I don't suppose I store more than anyone else on phone, I am a moderate user. I have maps of UK and about 3 European countries so I guess the in-built storage would be fine.
I looked at the spec of the Oppo R7 Plus and it looks awesome, most reviews were good but where most good phones seem to say Oct core, this phone is quad - not sure if this makes much difference. Will certainly consider this suggestion but I have just had an update on my Lenovo A936, the seller has at last responded and has asked me to return it for repair. I will try this but wont hold my breath for a good result.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond - much appreciated.

The R7 Plus I got is definitely octo-core, Snapdragon 615. Which is a proven S0C anyway. There are two versions of R7 Plus I believe, one is Snapdragon, other is Mediatek. This is actually my second Oppo now, previously I had a Find 7, which is still here and works just fine.
