This one is going into my quantum mechanics lectures this year:

To be fair, Alibaba does offer some roomba knock-offs that have the wheels on the other side. :p

And knowing how the Chinese like to take US brands for their own use, it's marketed as the iSuck, from Apple. ;)

Last time I bought a vacuum cleaner, had to return it, it didn't suck.

BTW talking about US brands becoming Chinese, Segway was recently been taken over by a company that was making Segway clones.

Although I never actually saw a Segway until I came to China, because I'm sure they're were illegal to ride in the UK.

How were Segways illegal in the UK?

We've had them all over the place.

https://www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules
"The requirements are:
the bike must have pedals that can be used to propel it"

"Any electric bike that doesn’t meet the EAPC rules needs to be registered and taxed. You’ll need a driving licence to ride one and you must wear a crash helmet."

Segway has two wheels, therefore it's an electric bike under UK law. And you can't license a Segway as a motorcycle in the UK either. Can buy Segways in the UK, just that you can't legally use them on public roads, private land only, and the police would probably stop you if you did.

This has been running for a long time...

BTW in Hong Kong all electric bikes are illegal, can't even buy them there. Mainland, they're everywhere.

I think one wheel looks like more fun though...

I have seen some of these being ridden. Legal in the UK or not, could be because it's not a bike, it's a unicycle. However if the police stops you, because you're seen riding an electric vehicle on a public road or pavement, you might have to argue about it in court.

I remember when Gopeds were all the rage in the UK. Which were definitely illegal, because they had an engine, and some people were stopped and prosecuted for riding them on the road.

Though on a really bad day (usually after yet another Android Question that doesn't provide any detail about either the problem or the device) I have been tempted to post this one to Suggestion Box & Feedback:
