Xoom 2 Wishlist

Dear Motorola, i would like to see Xooms's being sold with a free Lamboghini (black matt plz) and a full 7.1 surround setup.

I have the WiFi and 3G version from here in the UK.

On a more serious note, i agree with the Volume controls they suck arse atm, not sure what the design team was thinking with them lol

I also got a charging dock with it which would have been nice to have a USB slot. The dock is fidgety imo to slot the tablet into and quite annoying really. Also 1 viewing angle.........

The power lead at the end that plugs into the Xoom is needle thin and seems like it will snap easily plus its not the easiest thing to plug in as the hole where it joins is quite big but the connection is very small.

Definitely a front facing speaker aswell.

I would like a simple OS app that can transfer all my paid apps with data to my Xoom (as the xoom is in my business Google account name and the phone is personel googlemail). I did contact all the paid app developers and they did respond by saying that if the phone and xoom google accounts match its no problem but as i have a different account name for Xoom seems rather than keep contacting them i will just buy them all again.

I did make a post here on these forums asking some questions about accessories for the Xoom if anyone has any reviews to give, i will link it here because i think i probably placed in the wrong forum part as no one has replied lol either that or its because im from the UK and most are from the US on here ? http://androidforums.com/motorola-xoom/324584-motorola-xoom.html

I would pay well very well for a proper dedicated app for HD movies, pay monthly whatever.

Would like to see clearly in the app market which apps are for the Xoom, i have wasted hours downloading and trying apps only to see they havent been updated for xoom and have uninstall.

I would like to see a modification in the overall hardware build. I do not own a Xoom however, I do have an iPad and it seems to me that where the Xoom is lacking is in weight, poor position of the on/off power button, and it's ability to attract fingerprints and smudges, both on the screen and on the backside of the device (is it some form of static charge?). Aluminum on the backside of the Xoom (like the iPad) would be a great start.

In my humble opinion, Honeycomb is superior to iOS...........thoughts?

CWz.

So far...

I do some web design and there are some functionality issues with software integrating properly. None of the browsers I've tried will use every update tool available on the build site I use.

But....the largest disappointment was not having a USB port for a flash drive. Bluetooth and Wifi will suffice but I still run in a circle of friends that use thumb drives and it would have been very convenient.

I would like to see the xoom put on a diet. Usb would be nice, as would be usb charging. multiple sd slots, would also be nice. I have no problems with the volume and power switches, but I would like to see a soft program kill like the play book has, include a soft volume control like windows. I think front speakers would make the front bezel to large. That's my 2 cents:)
*edit usb charging is a go drivers on motorola's web site http://www.motorola.com/Support/CA-EN/Support-Home/USB-Drivers-and-PC-Charging-Drivers

Thom1 you can download an app called wefi and it will allow the xoom to connect to any open wifi signal that is available.

I would like to see the Xoom 2 have HDMI input so it can be used as a camera monitor on the sets of film productions. It doesn't even need a capture, just something to show what's being seen in the camera. There is not a tablet out there that has this, and I know that a lot of the film industry people are waiting for it to happen.

Better movie apps.... better video chat capabilities. Lighter in weight. Maybe these should be app related but it is frustrating to me at the moment

I've only had my Xoom for a week now, but have already noticed a couple things that would be nice in the revision. When the tablet case is closed, it covers up the power port. I would prefer to have the power port on top so it is accessible through the case's opening there. Secondly, I would LOVE to text from my Xoom. If anyone knows of any texting apps out there can you let me know?

Didn't the first Xoom just come out? When is Xoom 2 releasing? I was waiting on the Toshiba Thrive, but it didn't impress me, and weighs a ton. So I can wait until Generation 2 on these tablets I suppose.

- USB support (including battery charging)
- Bluetooth tethering support (dial up networking style)
- Front speakers

i would love to see a kickstand, a front and back facing camera, and a 1080p screen. I think with these 3 features, it'll start turning heads. the software speaks for itself. its getting people to try it thats the problem.

Love my Xoom but if Xoom 2 has the following I will buy one and do what I do with my old technology--give it to sister or husband!

My list:

Full USB (bit of a theme on this thread)
Ethernet port for those hotels where there is wired but crappy wireless
Thinnner--maybe even a tag smaller
Kickstand

And--it's an accessory but I want more/better of those cool keyboard/case combos that are hard to find for the Xoom--or make the Xoom 2 work with the IPAD stuff...

That's all...I'm easy to please :)
