Help Xoom freeze and restarts

I just recieved my Xoom (WiFi) in the mail today. After charging and setting up the network and date settings, I started browsing around the different apps pre-installed and the internet.

I have had a re-occuring problem that is frustrating to no end. Anytime I am doing something, whether it be browsing the internet or looking at apps on the market, the tablet will freeze after a few minutes and then reboot itself.

So far I have yet to complete any task on this thing because of the constant restarts. Within 2 hours I have experienced at least 10-20 reboots. I called Motorolla and they had me do a factory reset and told me to monitor it over the next few days.

Not but 5 minutes after I was off the phone and looking up something on the internet than the table froze up and rebooted.

I am just wondering if this is a common problem that people are seeing or if I just recieved a damaged unit.

I should add that I have not downloaded any apps for this yet.
 
Hey there, i got my Xoom 3 days ago here in the UK and it sounds like you have a faulty one and i would demand to send it back.

Mines perfect, runs smooth and very fast, no complaints my end (yet) hehe
 
Agreed. That is not normal behavior. You shouldn't have to watch it for a couple of days. I hope they aren't saying that to everyone!
 
Just exchanged mine for the same problem. It didn't reboot as much as yours but at least 10x a day. I was within my 14 day period so I demanded a new one.
 
I returned mine and (after a week or so) received a new one that doesn't freeze or reboot at all. I am now very much happy with the Xoom!
