XPE works with magnetic mounts, NAKED!

So about 4 months ago, I moved to magnetic mounts in the cars, and used the metal plates between the phone and cases for attraction. I did not want to do the same with the XPE since the silicone back seemed to be resilient enough to not need a case for protection. So I had made up my mind to go back to the conventional car mounts. But lo and behold, the XPE obviously has some ferrous components inside that allows the magnetic mounts to work! Not sure if the magnetic fields will disrupt the operation of the phone, but so far, I haven't noticed anything problematic during my 45 minute drive.

Just another feature that makes me like this phone more!

How have you been doing with your magnetic mount? I an interested in getting one, but the whole "magnetic" thing sounds risky to me.

So far so good. I read some reviews on Amazon where the magnetism might interfere with S Pen operation on the Note 4, but other than that, it's all been smooth sailing with the XPE. What I have found though is that the attraction is not that strong; if the bottom edge of the phone was not resting on the dash as it is in the pic, the attraction won't be strong enough to hold the phone all by itself. But again, the magnetism does not interfere with the operation of the phone at all (haven't tried GPS or compass yet though).
