Xperia as a Music Source

Just for info...I am seriously into first rate music on a portable system. Think iPod but more advanced. I tried something, which to me, was new. I first bought the music app USB Audio Player Pro from the Google Play store. I then loaded the Xperia about 10GB of music files, CD quality (16/44.1) or better files (24/96) onto my SD card. Then I connected my Audioquest Dragonfly Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) (a device about the size of a memory stick). From that one can plug in headphones/earbuds/powered computer speakers or connect it to ones audio system.

The result was pretty amazing audio from the phone...way better than the MP3 quality normally found, better than anything one finds on iPods...

If folk want to use their phone as a source for quality audio, audio that can sound better than a CD, experiment a bit. The phone will let you play.
