Help Xperia Play is not turning on...

Have you tried removing the battery, reinstalling it, and then try to power it back on?

EDIT: I have had this happen a couple times. Each time was with it in my pocket while commuting to work. I don't know if it was caused by overheating, signal going in and out, or pressure of me sitting on it :), but each time pulling the battery fixed it.

Yeah I did that. My phone has been freezing and restarting a lot before this happened.

I'm gonna send it to Sony for repair.

Just hope they can fix it.

Thanks anyway :)

I got 2 of this phone and I dont any have problem,1 rotted and 1 stock. You might have some hardware issue, return it.

Which colour and which version do you have of both phones ?

I have the r800i and it's in White and I got it from 02 when they had it at low price for

I have the white R800i that I got from Phones 4U for the same price. I haven't had any restarts so far touch wood (oo-er). Sounds like you were unlucky to get a faulty handset.

The only issue I have with mine is the signal doesn't seem to be as strong as my previous phone (Orange San Francisco).

Thing is it was working fine when I first got it. The update through the PC companion made it worse by not turning on !

I've been only using it for 3 weeks.

What a sucker punch :(

If you do not get any response from the handset at all I would have to advise returning it for assessment by an authorised repair agent. However if you do get any kind of response when you try to power it on, please try to reload the firmware using this application which is run with the handset powered off:\

Thanks for that. I've sent it back to Sony Ericsson for a repair.

Hopefully they'll fix it.
