Root Xperia Pro.. which custom rom?

I've just got this phone having never owned an Android device before & am a bit confused by what is on offer.
I also can't find any custom roms for this particular phone.
I've looked on XDA but can't see any help for a complete android novice like myself & any help would be much appreciated.
