Help xperia s zooming problems

I bought my Xperia s just a week ago and have finnaly tried the camera. The pictures are great but when i try to zoom pictures become blurry and they look really bad, i cant even recognize whats on the picture.
Does just my phone have problems with zooming or is this common problem on all xperias.

Zoom on phones is always terrible.
It's because it's digital zoom, not optical.

With a normal digital camera, the lenses can move to get the best picture, a phone can't do that so it just zooms in on the picture like you would normally, ie, take a pic, look in the gallery and zoom in.

That's as far as I know anyway.
