Root Xperia X10 Google Talk APK's Please!?

I upgraded my Xperia X10 with Telcel Carrier, downloaded z4root, rooted the phone, uninstalled all Moxier and Ideas Crap with Titanium and it's working perfectly except for one thing..

I can't install GTalk APK!!

I don't know why my carrier (Telcel) uninstalls Google Talk fron all its Android Phones, I used an APK downloaded some time ago for Donut; but it does not work with 2.1 :(..

I tried installing these..

Google Talk .apk's - xda-developers

But don't work either.. :(

Does any one would be so kindly to pass me the Gtalk APKs for Xperia x10 2.1 Android :D?!?
 
Ok, perfect. I managed to get the talk.apk but it will crash every time I tried to open it, so I will try with these files.
 
I know, when I bought the phone, I thought it was really weird they erased it in the xperia, then I found out it wasn't it the other android with Telcel at the moment which was the Motorola Cliq... Maybe it's some legal or that sort of trouble... Don't know!

Google Talk Service and Storage do come preinstalled, but not the actual client :dunno:

i tried to do that but not working for me, i uninstalled and reinstaled in the order that here said but nothing its showme an error when i tried open it: that said sorry the application has been stoped or something like that

the service is working also friends sendme some messages but i cant answer only see the notification bar and only the last incomplete message if i touch to open the gtalk give me the error :(

Hello people, im download the .zip and unzip the files into xperia x10 sd.

Im use astro, appinstaler and there put me an error that say "The app is not instaled. cant instal Google Talk Services on tihs phone" itry with 3 .apk and notingh =/
 
Will these work for X8?, and if so do I just copy them over to the SD card via my PC ? I am ok with PC stuff but Iam a newbie to all this Android stuff ! Thanx in advance !!
 
Excellent stuff - installing the 3 X apk in Provider / Service / Client order (from SDcard through ES File Explorer) "cured" gapp errors on boot :D no re-flash etc required (Rooted Xperia X10 Mini Pro)
 
I fu*ked up my market by uninstalling gtalk. smart eh? :P btw. he app seems unresponsive after I installed these files. Is this works on X8 Eclair?

EDIT: my market works now. great stuff :D
 
New to this Android malarky too, would just like to confirm that these do still work for the sony X8 on android 2.1. I had the same problem with the market after ignorantly unistalling google talk. I had a nightmare trying to figure out how to install the files. So for anyone else as daft as me, here's what I did...

Firstly download all three apk files to a computer.

Secondly, download ES file explorer on your phone, use the browser to download from an alternative market, as the google one doesn't work.

Open my computer and drag the apk files into the phones SD card.

Unplug USB cable, and open ES file explorer, find and install files.

Restart phone and market should be working again.
 
hi, i have the same problem i have an x8 with android 1.6 the carrier is claro peru, could anyone help me with this, please attach the apk's for this version

Same problem, I followed the steps by satanselbow, everything is working fine now.

I don't know why Telcel (America Movil) es removing the Gtalk client (provider and service were ok, but client was not)
 
i need those files for xperia x10 1.6 donut... please could you help me, also my gmail app icon is not showing, i couldn't install the gtalk.apk
 
Hey guys, I downloaded the apk for Gtalk that was posted on this forum, but it doesn't seem to work. It forced closed everytime I tried to run it after install, or now, after reloading it again, it just goes blank and takes me to my home page. Any idea of what I can do here? I'm freaking out.
