This is a warning now this is not the XPOSED your used to. Modules may cause bootloops and halt booting. If in a bootloop here's the steps
1.open twrp and Go to file manager
2. Then find /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
3. You can either delete the folder or if you want to keep settings go inside and find conf and delete modules.list

2. Download the apk
3. Reboot in recovery
4. Flash the zip file
And reboot

#note as right now hroak13 cm12.1 rc2-3 will not boot, only rc5

i downloaded xposed-sdk22-arm-20150514.zip
restarted into recover
backed up all partitions to SD card
installed xposed-sdk22-arm-20150514.zip
then rebooted system

3. rebooted, stuck at CM logo.

It is unofficial and is in super alpha stage meaning its extremely unreliable

True that but it is still functional once you're able to install it

Yeah I tried installing xposed just for kicks to see if it would work and it caused a boot loop

I was thinking that if it was working for you it might be because you got an earlier version. I see that it was updated on 6/14
