Root Xposed

Just clarifying before I brick, but xposed does indeed work on our device right?
Yes but you need to root your phone i recommend using the helpful thread already made here on the site. I also recommend googling Xposed Installer. Download the apk and install it then click framework and press install. Now your all set and can begin downloading modules.

No problems here. I don't recommend, changing any build prop settings, unless you know what you're doing. I went to do some random tweak I've used on previous phones with XBlast... I ended up in a bootloop. Easy to get out of, but it was a surprise.

I recommend XInternalSD module , Not only does it allow third party apps to access and direct every download to your SD card- helps alot if your trying to keep internal memory as clean as possible- but it allows you to control or decide which apps can and cannot access the SD card

I dig it, does gravity box work OK? I just came from the moto g and that was a must have.
I use gravitybox daily, go for it. Xblast works as well as g2 xposed,g2 & g3 tweaksbox as well as many others. The only problem I have noticed is running too many theme changes at one time will leave you with 2 clocks, strange color matchups etc...best bet is make the theme changes one at a time and reboot and see how it looks =)

What are some themes the community reccomends? I currently have the g3 theme but it's getting old lol. I've been using xposed for a few weeks now with no issues.

Xposed works great.

I have GravityBox, G3 tweaksbox for theming purposes, although I really don't use any theme just mainly to change the status bar, clock, notification panels.

YouTube AdAway is another module I use. Basically, it removes ads for the youtube app. I'm on a limited data plan so it helps.

Plenty of modules work fine.
