Help XT865 vs XT875 LCD screen help

I have a Droid Bionic XT875, it went for a swim and the LCD screen died. I ordered a new one and it turns out the new one I ordered is for the XT865 :(

Depending on where I look some places say the screen is the same, others say it is not?

Can anyone confirm 100% if they are the same?

According to these two websites:

Motorola DROID BIONIC XT865 - Full phone specifications

Motorola DROID BIONIC XT875 - Full phone specifications

They neither look the same nor are the same phone. It looks like the XT865 is a phone that never made it to VZW. Although it is listed as a BIONIC, the device used the Tegra CPU, which makes me think it is the original phone that was supposed to be release in Jan 2011, that got scrapped and reworked into our current BIONIC.

My guess is that the screens may, in fact, be the same - those pages show they have the same dimensions and specifications, but I cannot guarantee that they are.

Got the screen.

It looks the same, visually identical actually.

Plugged it in, put the phone back together and it starts up, but the screen is dim, doesn't show colors correctly and has random off color pixels all over the screen that switch every few seconds....

I am thinking that the screen is the same but the graphics driver / chipset on the motherboard is fried :(

Most likely. A swim is never a good thing for a mobile device.

Best of luck getting it figured out or fixed.
