Root xUlltimate Not working on DROID2?

It says "ERROR: Make sure your phone is connected next time!"

It worked before but now it wont. Is it because im on 2.3.20 now? I want to deodex and install a theme.

EDIT: I've put my phone into all syncing modes possible. also is there another way to deodex by now?

There is an update.zip for 2.3.20 that is already deodexed.
I don't have the link handy, but it was on XDA. I have it and all is good.
I simply updated, didn't wipe - it's already rooted too

sigh! even after wiping and installing the deodexed update.zip file, my files are still odexed.

Did you try the ADB way? PITA, but worked for me in the past.

With xUltimate? yea but it keeps on giving me errors. when i get to doing step 3, it never works. it just says something went wrong.

Nevermind dudes. Just moved to Fission ROM. (MUCH QUICKER WITHOUT BLUR!)
And I think its deodexed. lol got tired of blur.

It is zipped and deodexed, but no themes for the new ROM 2.1 yet so I'm sticking to 2.0.1.

I'm have a thing where I have to be on the latest version because who knows what type of things have been improved or what bugs have been fixed. There will be themes soon. I don't mind stock. I missed Vanilla Android. Feels like I did my DROID2 a favor! Things are much quicker and I always have over 100mb of RAM available. With blur, it always went down to like 30. Never realized how crappy blur is and how much of a source hog it was.

Yea dude been rocking Fission since they released a non beta version. Phone moves great especially overlocked
