Help XXjpm over XXjp8 ??

probably a dumb question but, will it work if i have jp8 right now and i want to flash directly xxjpm so i can be more up to date???

well it didnt ...no roms that have sbl.bin boot.bin and logo.png removed work..i can only flash roms that has those files like jp8 jp9 jpb.

im on jpb right now ..cant update further ( nor custom roms either

I have updated from JPB to JPF and to JPM without any problem. Make sure you are using the OPS file and the 'one package .tar file and you shouldn't have a problem.

do you have JPF one package tar ?? cause i got from samfirwmare has 4 files md5 and that one i cant flash .. jpm has 1 package .. but it wont flash that either... everytime i get /dev/stl7 cant mount i get this error.

i was thinking to add this 3 in the JPM archive and then flash it .. might work? or is it safe? since have same size in all other ROMS that i managed to flash.

I wouldn't flash those files. Ever. You shouldn't need to at all. I think you're jumping the gun on the new ROMs.

When you flash a new ROM you have to leave the phone boot up for around 10 minutes before it actually shows a homescreen.

im only finishing the flashing .. and remove the usb cable the minute i see PASS in odin and on the phone im on the homescreen.

I would wait until you see the message "Killed timer" in the message box before you disconnect the USB cable. By that time my phone has booted and I am on the home screen. You then need to do another hard reset, wait for the home screen to appear again, then switch off and put in your SD card and SIM card. Then switch on again.

Just go through the full procedure outlined in the "7 steps" thread.

I think your problem is that you have not flashed the phone properly. I would download a Stock 2.1 ROM from samfirmware and flash it.

Then if it is successful try upgrading to a 2.2 ROM again.

it is strongly advised NOT to flash the SBL.bin & the Boot.bin
id suggest u download the recent JPM from www.SamFirmware.com and flash it via odin as a one pack it does not have the above and its a good stable firmware and it is also pre rooted so try it im still using it and im quite happy or u can go to XDA their are many very good custom roms their and they are very good too
