Help XYBOARD and Verizon pains...

Have had my Motorola XYBoard 10.1 for about 1.5 years, more than half has been spent without a Verizon Wireless data plan due to finances and always using wifi.

There didn't used to be an issue, but lately more and more if I'm streaming videos over wifi it keeps saying "Verizon Wireless" and "Loss of Service" while streaming videos. Any idea how to disable this? It's definitely making me want to call and rip apart a few people, but hoping to find a solution before I ruin someone's day.

Thanks in advance.

I assume there's some way in that tab's Settings to disable data. That should do it. (If not, there's a widget called Data ON-OFF that lets you do it from the homescreen.)

Yes, there is the data on/off under the settings. It has been switched off all this time.

On a side not about it, the audible warnings do not seem to sound off while streaming videos through all apps, just a few like CBS, A&E, History. I guess the non typical ones if you will.

I thought about trying to pull the SIM card but I honestly have no idea what effect that may or may not have.

Ended up just pulling the SIM card and so far seems to have gotten rid of the audible warnings. Only tested it for 5 minutes since was busy today, but so far I see no adverse effects.

If anyone has any thoughts, opinions, or experiences feel free to let me know.
