Hi,
YAAM (Yet Another Android Market) is an alternative Android market project !
You can see here (YouTube - 4th video of YAAM), a video of the progress of Yaam.
Developped by Pixello Studio and eMee, YAAM involves 2 Andro/web developpers and 2 designers for already one month of developement
The purpose of this market is to offer a viable alternative to Android Market, while adding some interesting features and functionality that will never see the day on the Android Market, such as payment by Paypal/others instead of google checkout !
Allowing developers to better control their apps by removing text length, allowing more than 2 pictures, allowing developers to contact users that submited a comment, etc...
And the inscription of developers will be free of charge !
Here are some screens of the application : Index of /screens/yaam
Paid applications are managed this way : You have a YAAM account, you send money on this account (via paypal, allopass, etc...), and you use this money into the application, to buy applications. In that way, you can easily manage your consommation...
We are surely going to create an enterprise, to manage this money legally !
You can try the market using this apk : http://yaam.mobi/apk/yaam.apk It's normal there is just 2 applications in the market, it's a development/alpha version, just for testing purpose. If you don't want to create an account, you can use test account (username=test/password=test)![Smile :) :)](/styles/smilies/google/smilie.png)
If an update is available, YAAM is able to update itself !
We've just started the website (Yaam | Index) and a web-market is already available ! (no design for the moment)
We are still thinking about opening the code to the community !
If you've questions, just ask. Remember it's an alpha version, every bug report, idea or felicitation will be welcome![Wink ;) ;)](/styles/smilies/google/wink.png)
