I just ran into Rafael Rivera's blog Within Windows | Not your usual Microsoft enthusiast blog. and I saw his notes about Yahoo IMAP and email.
Interesting to note, first, is this post: Within Windows | Yahoo: Your buggy IMAP server affects iPhone too; thanks for playing though.
This, in and of itself, may not be significant - unless you're using Yahoo mail through your standard Android email app. Then it can cause massive issues b/c full headers for every single email you receive adds up quickly in terms of data - not data as in data connection use, but data as in terms of data stored on your phone as a part of the app.
Fortunately, Rivera now reports that this has been fixed as of last week: Within Windows | Yahoo fixes their implementation of IMAP, finally
Folks noticing massive slowdown issues who use Yahoo mail through the Android email account, this might end up being significantly beneficial news to you.
Happy Androiding.
