Yahoo mail app messing up

Hello - this is my first ever post on this forum. My wife's tablet (Insignia) has had the Yahoo mail app on it and working fine for quite some time. Now for some reason when on the "Inbox" page / GUI, on the left hand column is the list of recent emails. Next to it, to the left is a blank screen with the arrow-circle that keeps going around and around..... and that's it!!! clicking on an email will not open it for reading. We've tried uninstall / reinstall, clearing cache and data..... etc. Still doing this. Other aspects of web based apps are still working ok -- FB, etc. We know that our Yahoo email can be accessed though the Yahoo site being bookmarked, but she hates that format compared to the Mail App. Any fix ideas????? maybe its the sequence of things we have wrong... please help.

This worked for me:

1. Click inbox.
2. Click settings.
3. Click account.
4. Uncheck enable conversations.

Should display normally :-)
 
Yahoo is redoing the whole site, and reworking everything they've done per how many complaints received. Yahoo has redone groups twice, mail a couple of times, and now are probably working on mobile.

I think the powers that be at Yahoo thinks that everyone has an unlimited plan and all the latest goodies on every device. Case in point - Yahoo just put back "classic mail" for those who don't have high speed connections.

Is your tablet wifi only? Yahoo is now pestering for a phone number.

One way around is to set your browser to desktop and use the regular site.

I'd drop Yahoo, but there are Groups I've belonged to for years that are still going.
