Hello, I've had my Note 2 since November. I'm on the Tmo network and am currently up to date with the firmware. Ever since three days ago, my 3 yahoo accounts "fail to sign in" and I can't get any mail while on my Note 2. On my desktop PC all is fine. I've restarted the phone several times but no dice. At this point I'm not sure what I can do, I don't have any sort of anti virus software installed on my N2.

Help Yahoo mail sign in failures on Note 2

I use stock Mail app and I get the same error from time to time. It asks to retype your password. Sometimes it's happenning 3-5 times a day sometimes can take more than a week for this bug to appear. I tried to use the Yahoo mail app and that app didn't even send an error message but sometimes the mail did't sync and if I didn't look on PC I didn't know that I have mail.

The stock email app would always ask me for passwords for my Yahoo account. Even with some of my other email accounts as well. I got sick to death of that crap so I downloaded the Yahoo app from the Play Store. It worked pretty well for awhile and never asked me to enter my password. About 2-3 months after I installed the Yahoo app, it started with the same crap in asking me for my password repeatedly. I hate Yahoo. As such, I closed my Yahoo account and opened another Gmail account. So far, no issues. Yes, bit extreme, but things are working great for now.

My stock app would ask me for the password, and even when I typed the correct one it would say invalid. I deleted it and now use the Yahoo app.
Thanks, I also am convinced it's a problem on Yahoos end. I did re-enter my password for one of my accounts, after doing so I was able to get mail for ALL of my accounts but as mentioned above, the sign in error comes bavk in a day or so. May have to close the accounts and open new Gmail ones.
