Help yahoo mail unread status

Hi

I have added my yahoo mail account on the stock mail app. It syncs beautifully apart from the read status of the emails. In my yahoo mail account I have zero unread emails. But on my phone it is showing 7 unread emails.

Is this how POP works? or can I actually get it to sync the read status of each email.

To my knowledge, it's the way POP3 works (or a limitation of it) .... it will only mark unread for the device you are viewing it on.

You'll need IMAP, or exchange for syncing the unread part.
