Yahoo mail

So I have my Dinc 2 setup and pulling my yahoo email, but it will not sync with yahoo when I delete email online. It sends and receives fine. It won't reconcile other changes though.

Any ideas?

I couldn't even get my Dinc2 to push Yahoo mail. Finally just got the Yahoo app and it pushes immediately, also would fix your reconciliation problem. That's if you can't get it sorted on the Dinc2

Same issue using the HTC Mail w/ Yahoo account. If I read, delete, etc online it still shows up as unread on my phone. Quite annoying.. so should I assume it can't be fixed?

I have both hotmail and yahoo. I couldn't get the push to work on either accounts. I just use the Yahoo Mail app and that app works great.

Thanks. I loaded it up which took all of about a minute to get working. I actually like that my yahoo mail is separate from my work exchange mail now.

It still shows up in notification bar when you get emails too. So it still gives out the " integrated" feel

I was able to get Yahoo working with the native HTC email client. Deletions and changes of the inbox work both ways now. Haven't tried other folders as this is the only one I'm concerned about.

- Add new account
- Choose other pop3/imap
enter email address and password
If it won't let you modify the server settings manually put a wrong password in and let it time out. Then you should be to enter the settings.

Does the Yahoo mail app chew through the battery any worse than the native HTC mail?

Well since yahoomail app is actual push and HTC app is not I would say yahoo app uses a little more imo, but not much.

The question from OP though, when you read/delete a email do you 'sync' (send/receive) afterwards? That is the only way you will get the mail on PC to reflect what you've done...
