Help Yakjuxw vs Yakju?

Hi guys, I'm kinda new round here so this may be a fairly obvious question but here goes;

I'm currently considering upgrading to a Galaxy Nexus and I keep coming across the phrases 'Yakjuxw' and 'Yakju'. Am I right in thinking that Yakjuxw is a Samsung skinned version of ICS and Yakju is 'un-skinned' google original ICS?

Also, which version will I end up getting if I get a phone on contract from a UK network, compared to if I was to buy one direct from Google (I can't yet, as I'm in the UK, but for the sake of argument..)?

I'm less concerned about this, having just noticed a post with a neat trick to switch from Yakjuxw to Yakju, but any help is appreciated,

thanks,

This is what I've been reading on right now, to see when Ill get my JB update, but thats pretty much correct. 'Yakju' seems to be the Google version, and the rest aren't. I'm on 'yakjuzs' which means I'm a million miles away from JB :(

nice one, thanks guys. so then is there any advantage to leaving your device 'factory' and sticking to Yakjuxw? If all it does is slow your updates, then why bother? Do Samsung simply want some measure of control over software?

Also, am I right in thinking that a Takju device is only available from the play store? Can a Yakju device be upgraded to Takju, or does a Takju device have different hardware for handling google wallet?

When you're on YAKJU, you're going to receive OTA updates from Google forever, but it's not gonna revert back. Any gnex can switch from YAKJU to YAKJU to non yakju/takju with the link I posted above. My bad, you receive OTA updates at a later time from Samsung than Google, I didn't mean the download speeds.
