Yet another "need a recommendation" request

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and the world of Android. I am an iOS user on T-Mobile. I am sick and tired of looking at the "E" symbol on my unlocked/jailbroken iPhone 3G.
That being said, I am ready for an Android! Heck yea! :D
Now the big question "What is the best recommended Android Phone for me?"
Don't worry, I will put down the criteria in clear words:
1. Phone - We can never forget that any phone (smart or super) is after all a phone. So, I need clarity of voice (both ways), nice speakerphone, nice earpiece, no dropped calls, no freezing in the middle of a conversation, no over heating while on a call or texting, easy to type keyboard, pretty good talktime and simple to manage contacts and call history.
2. Speed - I am coming from "E". So 3G is welcome. 4G is out of the world.
3. Battery - My iPhone runs for one full (12 hours) day (30-40 emails, 20-30 webpages, 10-20 texts, 50+ calls). Anything that can beat this will be a winner because I am pretty religious about re-charging my phone. I have chargers everywhere (office, car, home, laptop bag).

Please help me with this decision. It's also worth mentioning that in search of this dream phone I went to VZW and bought myself a Thunderbird. It was a shocker!
That damn thing is huge, sucks battery like hell, and not that user-friendly (i may be biased here. but most iOS users new to Android will agree with me on this). So, I returned it by paying the $35 restocking fee :o and have committed to T-Mobile for the next 2 years. So, any recommendations have to be keeping this in mind - T-Mobile android phone or fully T-Mobile compatible android phone only.

Thanks in advance.

Sid

I would give the HTC Sensation a shot. Beautiful hardware, Sense 3.0 (heard it's pretty good), has gingerbread (comes with sense 3.0), just not sure of the battery, you would have to go to the sub forum and check that out. Since you have chargers every where though I wouldn't think it would be a big deal. Welcome!

I'd say from TM's lineup, I'd go with either the Sensation, G2X (stock Android, unfortantely Froyo) or the Nexus S. For me, I'd always choose a Nexus device because you'll get timely updates and it's stock Gingerbread. Just remember, Android has a lot of tweaks you can make vs. a grid of icons in iOS, so it takes some getting used to. The latter two devices are both 4" screens, the Nexus S being slightly smaller because of a thinner bezel. Hit up a TM store and check them all out. If you need a device the size of an iPhone, you'll be a little more hard pressed (MyT 4G is nice, slightly dated, and the Galaxy S 4G, also dated). Good luck, I wish we had better options on Verizon.
