Yet another question...

I currently have the droid eris. I bought it on the 13th of this month and am pretty sure that I'm getting the incredible as soon as it comes out next thursday.

My question(s): When is the best time to return my eris?

I bought my eris in a verizon store and haven't sent for my rebate because I had a feeling that I would end up bringing it back within the 30 days given...when I do return it, I will get the entire $180.00 that I spent, right?

I apologize if the answers too my questions are obvious...

Thank you,

Miranda

You have 30 days to return it so you have plenty of time to get the Incredible before you return it. If i was you, i'd just return it the day i picked up the Incredible. They will give you a full refund but i believe there is a $35 restocking fee.

Its all up to you when you return it but there will be a $35 restocking fee. So if you want go on the 29th to return it.

Hi, Miranda. :)

Just go back to the same VZW store you bought your Eris at, tell them you want to do a WFG (Worry Free Guarantee) exchange for the Incredible. Make sure to bring them the rebate receipt as well, that will help make sure the exchange is as painless as possible. The WFG allows you to exchange your device for a different one one time in the first 30 days. You will have to pay the $35 restocking fee as well as the price difference between the Eris and Incredible.

Technically, if you don't want to pay the restocking fee, you can return the Eris now, and downgrade back to your previous phone before that.. use it for a little bit, and then reuse your upgrade on the Incredible. I do believe this will alleviate the extra 35 dollars.

They just changed the policy this month, it's a $35 restocking fee regardless.
