Root Yikes! warning signal Vs a new beginning.

My phone today started doing several strange things.

1: It retained a shadow image of a you tube picture, after I had closed youtube, and entered my browser (maxthon browser)

2: It started rebooting itself.

3: The dialer stopped working. when I enter the digits they disappear and can't dial out! (It has now started working but I am still spooked)


I AM READY FOR THE GINGERSTEAM OR OTHER COOL ROM.
Which one should I go with tonight?

My phone

Downgraded firmware to ZVB to install CMD root.
Using plague kernel (over clocking occasionally using "free CPU" app)

I am pulling the trigger tonight. I have chosen which ROM I will use though. I like simple and fast, and no crazy graphics.

Any ideas?

For starters I would upgrade to zvd, then install #2 personally.. it's not oc'able out the box but stable and snappy.. it's themed but not crazy themed lol.. plus there are around 30 themes to choose from..

That's just my personal opinion of what I'd do

Thanks! ironic that I spent 3 days learning to downgrade to ZVB so I could root, and now I will upgrade for another ROM.
Which one is "no# 2"?

Well the bright side is you have all the needed software to upgrade then I believe.. zvd is easily rootable.. there is an all in one root/recovery for zvd also.. most of the devs are creating things for zvd now as it is.. but to answer your question about #2.. your best bet is to go to the all things root sticky, and it's under roms.. (sorry on tapatalk or I'd link you) it's a debloated stock Rom with numerous tweaks for battery life, etc by LDrifta.. also there are guides for upgrading to zvd and rooting there also..

longtime no talk my friend. I use Broken Out myself as I like to tweak/theme things myself to my liking. If you are looking for the most popular though #2 is the one. Like all the other ROMS here it's stable and a great piece of work. I have used it(along with the rest of them) and had no complaints or issues with it.

Like I and many have said a million times over,ROMS are about user preference really. What the great thing is about this community is that we have a lot of them to choose
