Newbie
New to Android, got tired of constant freezing/rebooting of my windows phone. Unfortunately, I had it figured out and new my way around the thing, and how to get things done.

I am not a complete newby to computers and smart phones, but am not a natural at this stuff either. You know that "intuitive interface" term that companies like to use? For whatever reason, most are NOT "intuitive" to me:( and i stumble over what seems to be obvious to others. I'm also getting old, cranky, and have little patience for games and smarta**es.

I imagine I'll be asking numerous basic questions trying to get this whole android thing figured out. I'll contribute if I can, but at this point all I can contribute is a whole lot of ignorance...

Welcome to Android Forums! :)

Not to worry, we're here to help you through the 'getting acquainted' period with your new phone. The best place to get started is to read through the sticky posts at the top of the forum for your specific device. If you have any trouble finding it, just let us know what model phone you have and we'll direct you there.

As for getting old and cranky, we're not all spring chickens here. As a matter of fact, I frequently have to chase the kids off my lawn. ;)

Glad to have you here.

Lord, does that bring back memories!! The group I ran around with back when got chased off a few lawns for sure, and out of garages, and out of houses, and and and...

I've been in and out of different forums for a couple of years. When they work right, it's great! Sorta like hangin' down at the gas station swapping stories, lies, and advice. When they start getting filled up with people (or even worse, factions) grinding axes, I usually go on down the road to another gas station...

Thanks for the welcome! I'm a big user of the search function (too bad people don't title their original post with the search function in mind) and read faqs like I used to read album liners... it's a habit.
