a friend at work showed me this. go to settings -- about phone -- and tap where it says android version. you get a cool easter egg there, and if press and hold that you get an even cooler one!

Thanks for the information. I am on 4.2 and I never noticed this before cheers

On the Nexus 7 you can have the Bean Flinger screen as the daydream mode. For some reason it isn't an option on the N4.

Odd, if I go to Settings, Display, Daydream the only options I have are:
Clock
Colours
Currents
Fixed Clock
Photo Frame
Photo Table

Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!

The Bean Flinger option only appears in Daydreams after you've viewed the easter egg.

Do I lose geek points for admitting that I had never viewed the easter egg on my phone? :-)

No... don't worry... we won't hold it against you :p

When you've got the massive jellybean on the screen, a long hold on the jellybean will mean that you have the option to add the bean flinger to daydream :)

Must not work on 4.2.2 @ lest it does not work on my phone. Never mind had to disable magnification Gestures. Lol

This has been around in all android versions.

I am on 4.2.2 and I m not seeing anything when I tab on it. Only get the blue highlight. What did I do wrong?

Tap it three times quickly, you should get it. I've seen this long ago from older Android versions. What's really new for me is the animation after long-pressing the image.

Its an Easter egg within the commonly known android version easter egg

You'll commonly hear of it referred to as the bean flick game
