You can now install programs from SD card

theres a new program in the android marketplace that allows you to install programs from the SD card. can someone try it out and tell me how it goes?

If you're speaking of apkInstaller I don't think it allows you to install the application to the SD card, description "Install android application or games from you sdcard"

[jcott28]

That's correct. It's only for putting apk files on the sd card and then hitting install. It won't install anything to the SD card.

In what format you have to save you application if you want to save it to your sd card before using apkinstaller

The apk installer will only allow you to install signed .apk files from the sd card.

Thanks for bumping a thread from 2008. You don't need an app to install anything from the SD card. Any file manager will do it.

Well, at least it's proof that they used search, like your avatar asks
