When Amazon announced the Echo Dot, the smaller counterpart to the Amazon Echo, it was stated that the only way to purchase the device was through voice commands using the Echo or a Amazon's Fire TV.
However, it seems that you can still purchase the Echo Dot with the Amazon Shopping app, as long as you use voice dictation.
